Evidence-Based Approach

From diagnosis to recovery, every treatment is guided by clinical research and modern surgical techniques.

Patient-Centred Planning

Each procedure is tailored to your individual condition, goals, and long-term joint health.

Research-Driven Practice

Dr Bachar has published widely in peer-reviewed journals, contributing to both national and international publications.

Hip Replacement Surgery

If you’re considering hip replacement surgery, Dr Bachar will carefully assess your condition and recommend the surgical approach that best suits your anatomy and overall health. He performs total hip replacement using both anterior minimally invasive (AMIS) and posterior approaches, tailoring the procedure to your specific needs.

To help plan your surgery with precision, Dr Bachar uses advanced 3D technology called MyHip. This allows him to create a personalised surgical plan before your operation, helping to optimise the position of your implant and support long-term joint function.

When appropriate, Dr Bachar may use the AMIS technique, which avoids cutting through major muscles. This approach may support a smoother recovery and a faster return to movement. He often uses an AMIS femoral stem and a dual mobility implant, which are designed to improve joint stability and reduce the risk of dislocation, without the need for cutting blocks during surgery.

Knee Replacement Surgery

Dr Bachar takes a personalised approach to knee replacement surgery, planning each procedure around your unique anatomy and how your knee naturally moves. His goal is to improve comfort, restore function, and support lasting results.

During surgery, Dr Bachar follows kinematic alignment principles, which focus on recreating the way your knee moved before arthritis or injury. To support this, he often uses a medial pivot implant, a design that closely mimics the natural stability and movement of a healthy knee. This can help make everyday activities like walking, bending, or getting up from a chair feel more natural over time.
